on membership
in the public organization
"UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION OF SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE SCIENTISTS"
1. General provisions
1.1. Regulations on membership in the public organization "UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION OF SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE SCIENTISTS" (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations).
1.2. These Regulations define the procedure for acquiring and terminating membership in the Organization, the rights and obligations of members, and the procedure for their registration in the Organization.
2. Membership in the Organization
2.1. The UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION OF SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE SCIENTISTS is open for admission (withdrawal) of new Participants (members).
2.2. Members of the Organization may be individuals who have reached the age of 14 and have not been declared legally incompetent by a court, who share the goals and activities of the Organization (organization and implementation of social, educational, and research projects with the involvement of the scientific community and students to promote charity and other socially responsible activities) and agree to perform the duties assigned to them by these Regulations, the Charter, and other internal documents of the Organization.
2.3. From the moment of state registration, the participants of the Organization are the Founders of the Organization, as well as any Participants who joined the Organization after its state registration, subject to the relevant articles of these Regulations and the Charter of the Organization.
2.4. Each Member of the Organization has the right to voluntarily terminate their membership in the Organization.
2.5. The public organization "UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION OF SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE SCIENTISTS" has two levels of membership: the first level is "Associate Member of the Organization" (abbreviated as "Member of the Association") or "Member-Scientist" (for persons with a scientific profile), and the second level is "Honorary Member."
2.6. The status of "Associate Member of the Organization" or "Researcher Member" is acquired at the request of the candidate on the basis of an application for the relevant status and a questionnaire submitted to the Board of the Organization, and after the relevant decision of the President or Vice-President of the NGO.
2.7. The application form for admission to the UASVN is approved by the association's board and posted on the official website. A statement of withdrawal from the UASVN is sent to the association's mail in any form.
2.8. The status of "Honorary Member of the Organization" is acquired at the request of the Member, after three years of participation in the status of "Associate Member of the Organization" or "Research Member," on the basis of an Application for transfer to the status of "Honorary Member" submitted to the Organization, and after the relevant decision of the governing body of the Organization. The status of "Honorary Member of the Organization" is also acquired by order of the President or Vice-President of the NGO. The decision is considered legitimate if it is signed by the President and Vice-President of the NGO.
2.9. The founders of the Organization automatically acquire the status of "Honorary Member of the Organization."
3. Rights and obligations of members of the Organization
3.1. Associate members of the Organization, rights and obligations.
3.1.1. Associate members of the Organization are individuals who share the ideas and goals of the Organization, support the Organization with voluntary contributions (donations) and other contributions in accordance with these Regulations.
3.1.2. Associate members of the Organization have access to the Organization's informational and methodological resources (mailings, closed chats on Telegram, live broadcasts, webinars, newsletters, reviews, etc.) and have the right to submit proposals, statements, and complaints for consideration by the governing bodies of the Organization.
3.1.3. Associate members of the Organization have access to the Organization's educational programs and are entitled to a participation discount, the amount of which is regulated by a separate resolution of the President of the NGO.
3.1.4. Associate members of the Organization are required to comply with these Regulations, the provisions of the Organization's Charter, the decisions of the Organization's General Meeting, and other internal documents of the Organization.
3.1.5. Associate members of the Organization do not have the right to vote, cannot be elected, and cannot participate in the work of the Organization's governing bodies.
3.2. Scientific members of the Organization, rights and obligations.
3.2.1. Scientific members of the Organization are individuals with a scientific or educational background (teachers, students, researchers) who share the ideas and goals of the Organization, support the Organization with voluntary contributions (donations) and other contributions in accordance with these Regulations.
3.2.2. Scientific members of the Organization have access to the Organization's informational and methodological resources (mailings, newsletters, reviews, etc.), methodological information, research programs and results, training programs, methodological and educational materials developed by the Organization, and are also entitled to participate in scientific projects, grants, and mentoring.
3.2.3. Scientific members of the Organization are obliged to comply with these Regulations, the provisions of the Organization's Charter, the decisions of the Organization's General Meeting, and other internal documents of the Organization; to actively participate in the Organization's events (conferences, seminars, projects) and to contribute to the development of the scientific community.
3.2.4. Scientific members of the Organization do not have the right to vote at the General Meeting, but may be invited to consultative bodies.
3.3. Honorary members of the Organization, rights and obligations.
3.3.1. An honorary member of the Organization has the right to:
3.3.1.1. participate in the statutory activities and events of the Organization;
3.3.1.2. participate in the General Meeting of the Organization with the right to vote;
3.3.1.3. to head, be elected to, and participate in other governing bodies of the Organization in accordance with the Organization's Charter;
3.3.1.4. to submit proposals, statements, and complaints for consideration by the governing bodies of the Organization;
3.3.1.5. receive information and explanations regarding the activities of the Organization, subject to the protection of confidential information and personal data;
3.3.1.6. have access to the financial and other reports of the Organization.
3.3.1.7. Honorary members of the Organization shall have access to the informational and methodological resources of the Organization (mailings, newsletters, reviews, etc.), to methodological information, research programs and results, training programs, methodological and educational materials developed by the Organization, and receive methodological and financial assistance in their own projects related to the implementation of the Organization's goals.
3.3.2. Honorary members of the Organization are obliged to:
3.3.2.1. comply with these Regulations, the provisions of the Organization's Charter, the decisions of the Organization's General Meeting, and other internal documents of the Organization;
3.3.2.2. participate in the activities of working groups, committees, and projects of the Organization;
3.3.2.3. be guided by the principles and foundations of the Organization's activities (voluntariness, self-government, transparency);
3.3.2.4. take care to preserve the good reputation of the Organization.
4. Acquisition of membership in the NGO "UKRAINIAN ASSOCIATION OF SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE SCIENTISTS".
4.1. The decision to accept a member into the Organization is made by the President or Vice-President and is confirmed by an order signed by the President and Vice-President.
4.2. Membership in the Organization is granted in accordance with these Regulations on the basis of a completed application form on the official website.
4.3. The order on membership status shall be provided to the applicant within two months from the date of submission of the Application Form.
4.4. The application form for membership in the Organization shall be considered by the President of the NGO, who shall decide on the inclusion of the applicant in the membership of the Organization.
4.5. Admission to the Organization and membership status shall be confirmed by a corresponding certificate.
4.6. Individuals who meet the requirements of paragraph 2.2. of these Regulations shall be admitted to the Organization on the basis of an Application Form, in which the member of the Organization confirms their obligation to comply with the Organization's Charter and consents to the processing of their personal data in accordance with the statutory tasks and applicable law.
4.7. The President or Vice-President shall decide on admission to the Organization and make a corresponding entry in the Register of Members of the Organization no later than two months after receiving the Application Form.
4.8. Individuals who join the Organization after state registration acquire the status of Members from the moment the relevant decision is made in accordance with the relevant articles of these Regulations.
4.9. The President or Vice-President of the NGO has the right to refuse to accept a person as a member of the Organization.
5. Accounting for members of the Organization
5.1. The Organization maintains a Register of valid members of the Organization.
6. Procedure for contributions (donations) to support the Organization
6.1. General provisions:
6.1.1. Contributions (donations) from members of the Organization are voluntary and not mandatory. They are used to support the development of the Organization and the implementation of its projects (education, science, social responsibility).
6.1.2. Contributions from members and cash receipts from contributions from members of the Organization are used by the Organization to implement its statutory goals, current activities, and tasks.
6.1.3. The amount of membership fees, the procedure for their payment, and the purpose of their use are established by decisions of the President or Vice President and are of a recommendatory nature. The final decision on the payment of fees is made by the applicant and indicated in the application form.
6.1.4. The amount of all types of fees is established in the national currency of Ukraine – the hryvnia.
6.1.4.1. Contributions in other currencies are allowed in accordance with the exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine on the day of transfer of the contribution.
6.1.5. If, before the start of the new financial year, the President or Vice-President does not make any changes to the recommendations on contributions, they shall be considered extended for the next financial year.
6.1.6. Members of the Organization have the right to pay targeted voluntary contributions and charitable donations.
6.1.7. Targeted contributions and charitable donations are paid to the Organization's current account or through the licensed WAY FOR PAY service.
6.1.8. When paying targeted contributions and charitable donations, members of the Organization are required to clearly indicate the type of payment in the payment documents:
• targeted contribution to (name of project, program, etc.);
• membership fee (must indicate for which month)
• charitable donation.
6.1.9. If a member of the Organization does not pay a targeted contribution voluntarily, this does not entail any sanctions or restrictions on membership.
6.1.10. The Organization's Audit Commission controls the correctness and targeted use of all types of contributions.
6.2. Targeted contributions:
6.2.1. Targeted contributions are paid by members of the Organization to finance its individual programs, projects, campaigns, or individual events.
6.2.2. Targeted contributions are voluntary for members of the Organization to pay, which gives them the right to participate in a specific program, project, campaign, or individual event of the Organization and receive their results.
6.2.3. The amounts of voluntary targeted contributions may vary for different members of the Organization.
6.2.4. Members of the Organization pay voluntary targeted contributions at any convenient time.
6.3. Charitable donations:
6.3.1. Members of the Organization have the right to transfer to the Organization in any reporting period and in any amount charitable donations (in excess of the recommended amount of contributions) for the implementation of the statutory goals and objectives of the Organization.
7. Termination of membership in the Organization
7.1. Termination of membership in the Organization shall occur on the basis of:
7.1.1. a written statement from the member addressed to the President or Vice President of the Organization;
7.1.2. a decision of the General Meeting or a body authorized by it.
7.2. If a Member of the Organization expresses their intention to withdraw from the Organization, such Member of the Organization shall submit a withdrawal application in any form or send such application to the Council of the Organization.
7.3. Membership shall be terminated on the date of submission of such a statement and shall not require additional decisions by the General Meeting of the Organization. From that same date, the Organization Member's tenure in any elected positions within the Organization shall be terminated.
7.4. In the event of voluntary withdrawal or expulsion from the Organization, contributions (donations) shall not be refunded.
7.5. Membership in the Organization shall be terminated in the event of the death of a natural person who is a member of the Organization and shall be transferred to the heir with the consent of the General Meeting of the Organization's members.
7.6. Termination of membership shall not be grounds for termination or non-performance of any obligations under civil law or employment contracts.
7.7. Termination of membership shall result in the termination of the person's position.
7.8. The General Meeting of the Organization or its authorized body shall decide on the expulsion of a member of the Organization in the event of:
7.8.1. repeated violation of the requirements of the Charter;
7.8.2. actions or inaction by a member of the Organization that are incompatible with the purposes of the Organization;
7.8.3. actions or inaction by a member of the Organization that cause property or non-property damage to the Organization;
7.8.4. non-participation of a member of the Organization in the activities of the Organization for 6 (six) previous months, unless this is due to illness.
7.9. Membership in the Organization shall be deemed terminated from the date of sending the Member a decision on termination of membership in the Organization by registered letter with notification of delivery.
8. Final provisions
8.1. Amendments and additions to these Regulations shall be adopted by the President of the Organization.
