Who are we?We, the Ukrainian Association of Socially Responsible Scientists, are located at 54/1 Beresteyskyi Avenue, Kyiv, 03057. Hereinafter, the Ukrainian Association of Socially Responsible Scientists will be referred to as "we," and the website https://uasrs.org/ will be referred to as "our." We determine what personal data will be processed, for what purpose, and how.

What data do we collect and why?
The data we collect falls into two categories: technical information and data provided to us by the user.
Technical information.When you visit our websites, certain data is collected automatically. We need technical data to operate, maintain, and improve our website. This includes the following data: IP address, UTM parameters, geolocation, device type and browser type, cookies, and data about your interaction with the website (session ID).
The session ID includes: your interaction with the website; the name of the website from which you came to our website; the website features you used; the pages you visited on our website; how you used our website; and any actions you took on the website, if applicable.
Data provided by the user.In order to correctly identify and effectively communicate with users regarding membership, projects, and the provision of educational and scientific services, we need your full name, surname, date of birth (for age verification), phone number, email address, profile category (teacher/student, etc.), experience, and interests. We collect all this data using a form (application form) that the user fills out on our website.

Full name – to compile statistics, fulfill statutory objectives, perform KYD (know your donor) procedures, and prevent fraud
Date of birth – age verification for membership (from 14 years old)
Email address – sending reports and information about the Organization's activities, fundraising and marketing, feedback from members/donors to resolve issues related to the Organization's projects
Phone number – SMS notifications to members/donors about project-related news
Payment information – enabling customer support and processing user requests, processing donations (contributions)
*You can unsubscribe from the NGO's mailings at any time in the relevant communication channel using the standard means available to you (for example, the "Unsubscribe" button in the e-mail mailing list, or the "Exit and delete" option in Telegram), after which we will stop using the data you provided for this purpose. How long do we keep your data?We store your data for 48 months. However, you can exercise your right to have your data deleted. In this case, your data will be deleted from our servers within 30 days of your request.
Do we share data with third parties?We use your data to carry out our statutory activities and fulfill our obligations under the legal transactions concluded with you, and we may transfer it on the following grounds:
Compliance with legislation. We will disclose your personal data to third parties to the extent necessary:
● to comply with a government request, court order, or applicable law;
● to prevent illegal use of our website or violation of our website's Terms of Use and our policies;
● to protect against third-party claims;
● to assist in the prevention or investigation of fraud.

Do we transfer your data outside the European Economic Area?The personal data we collect is stored on the servers of the WAYFORPAY payment system in Ukraine and on the Organization's private servers in Ukraine.
By default, the data is stored in Ukraine, but we may need to process your personal data in another country. If a transfer is necessary, we will apply the necessary data protection measures and ask for your consent, except in cases where the transfer of data is necessary for the performance of a legal transaction.
What rights do you have over your data?As a data subject, you have the following rights:
● Right of access. You may request an explanation of how your personal data is processed.
● Right to portability. You may request all data you have provided to us and request that it be transferred to another controller.
● Right to restrict processing. You may partially or completely prohibit us from processing your personal data.
● Right to lodge a complaint. If your request has not been satisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the regulatory authority — the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights — by emailing omb@ombudsman.gov.ua.
● Right to erasure. You may send us a request to delete your personal data from our systems.

How do we update our Privacy Policy?This Privacy Policy and the legal relationships covered by it are governed by the Law of Ukraine "On the Protection of Personal Data." Applicable laws and requirements for the processing of personal data may change. In this case, we will publish a new version of the Privacy Policy on our website. If we make significant changes that affect your privacy and confidentiality, we will notify you by email or display the information on the website and ask for your consent.
